Basic knowledge of descriptive statistics, the use of Excel and the Python programming language.
The course adopts a problem-solving-oriented teaching approach. Lessons will combine theory, discussion of case studies and practical exercises. Space will be given to group work and simulations on realistic scenarios. Testimonials from experts in the health care and logistics sector will be provided.
Teaching materials and tools:
Slides, datasets for the exercises and background articles will be provided via the Moodle e-learning platform. Basic tools such as Excel, decision solvers, and model templates will be used for application activities.
The final course exam will be conducted orally and the evaluation will be expressed out of thirty. The interrogation will consist of four questions covering the entire program in order to verify the acquisition of knowledge imparted to students during the teaching of all course modules.
For only attending students, it will be possible to take intermediate tests on different course modules.
