TRAINING OBJECTIVES
The main objective of the course of Study of Sports Medicine in Motor Sciences is to provide the student with the theoretical, scientific and professional knowledge regarding the adjustments and adaptations of the cardiovascular system induced by physical exercise.
Particular attention will be paid to the legislation that regulates the health protection of sports activities and to the "administration" of physical exercise, which is one of the most important and topical issues in the prevention and fight against non-communicable diseases.
The course will also include the pathologies of the musculoskeletal system and sports traumatology, fundamentals of first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation and the approach to the "doping" problem.
At the end of the course the student will have to know the aims of Sports Medicine, not only in the certification field but also as a multidisciplinary branch of support to other specialties in the preventive and rehabilitation field; will have to know the common terminology and acquire knowledge on the role of physical activity as a "polypill" in primary, secondary and tertiary prevention.
