Il testo bergamasco: archivio e mappatura delle relazioni culturali tra la città di Bergamo e la Russia

In my article I present the results of the research project “Archive and mapping of intercultural relations between the city of Bergamo and Russia” promoted by the University of Bergamo. Although Bergamo is less well known internationally than cities like Rome, Milan, Venice, Naples, the historical-cultural relations between this city and Russia have deep roots, dating back to the reign of tsarina Anna Ioannovna. Nonetheless, the already considerable amount of information collected thanks to the efforts of the Institute of Slavic Studies hasn’t been the object of systematization so far: the research project in question was designed to fill this gap. The project’s aim is, in fact, the reconstruction of the intercultural relations between Bergamo and Russia over the past four centuries, whose results can be found on the website Cartoteca russo-bergamasca (). My article briefly introduces the contents of all the thirteen thematics sections of the website.
