This paper deals with a number of debated questions concerning the interpretation of Catullus 67. It discusses the choices made by O. Portuese in his commented edition of the poem (Cesena 2013): the reconstruction of the affairs of the characters involved, and textual and exegetical problems in ll. 5, 12, 20.
