La questione scolastica nelle riviste cattoliche milanesi tra 1918 e 1923

After the capture of Rome, a deep rift is generated between Catholic hierar-chies and the Italian State, while local components try to get closer trough the adoption of social and political initiatives. After contributing in the First World War, the Catholic faction make demands in the field of education, finding out the roots of their pedagogy in the general climate of the end of the war. Also the dio-cese of Milan offers its contribute to the debate and has the advantage of opening the matter to the lay movements, even if their proposal had paternalistic connota-tion. In 1923 the Gentile reform leads to a new complicated historical face for the Italian country.
