The purpose of this work is to analyze the figure of the sports observer. The objective is to dwell on the evolution of this role in recent years; in fact, the introduction into the world of sport of specific software tools and technologies for evaluating an athlete’s skills has changed the training and aptitude required to play effectively the role of the sports observer today.
