abstract:
The book illustrates the Public Engagement 2019 project of the University of Bergamo entitled ‘Restiamo umani: riflessioni, pratiche e suggestioni per una comunità che accoglie’. Specifically, it collects texts and photographs related to two events, realized just before the start of the pandemic emergency and in the short ‘pause’ between the second and third wave. In the first one, in a passionate encounter between eros and logos, Alessandro Sipolo performed with his band in a concert (February 13rd, 2020). The second event - carried out on September 23rd - was the performance ‘Resti. Storie siriane’, followed by a dialogue between the author of the text, Elena Corna, and Elena Agosti. The book contains the proceedings of the two events, the stimulating interventions of the guests along with many images. The time between the planning of the publication and the analysis of the materials has generated the conviction that we have to go beyond the idea of ‘remaining human’ to respond to the need to ‘become humanity’, embracing new paradigms and more innovative approaches
