The essay aims to retrace the educational and formative stages experienced by Pier Paolo Pasolini from 1922 to 1942. If childhood is the time of the Friulian Edenic world, of myth and maternal education, it is followed by a few years characterized from a perennial peregrinatio, due to the transfers linked to the paternal profession, which is reinterpreted by the poet thanks to the
contemporary discovery of literature. On the other hand, Pasolini's adolescence unfolds in Bologna, where the poet remains permanently until 1942. There are three axes along which Pasolini's educational and formative path moves in the city: the encounter with extraordinary figures, the
discovery of first friendly relations with peers, the sublimation of composing poems, writing and art, animating the first intellectual cenacles. Following these guidelines, Pasolini finds an opportunity to consolidate that search for identity that characterizes this season of his life.
