La “scuola serena” di Maria Boschetti Alberti: fra esperienza educativa e idealtipo pedagogico

The paper reconstructs the main pedagogical and didactic dimensions of the school experience conducted by Maria Boschetti Alberti in Tessin, better known as the 'scuola serena', and shows how it was disseminated in Italy in the 1920s by Giuseppe Lombardo Radice as a 'symbol' of the Gentile School Reform. Between the 1930s and the 1950s, the group of Catholic scholars gathered around the teachers' journal «Scuola Italiana Moderna» transformed it into the pedagogical ideal of a school for the full formation of the human person.
