Giuseppe Cappi (1883-1963). Dal Ghislieri alla Corte costituzionale

The conference on Giuseppe Cappi, held on 3rd October 2023 at Ghislieri College in Pavia, marked a significant moment in rediscovering an influential 20th-Century legal and political figure. This initiative, a collaboration between the Departments of Law of both the Universities of Bergamo and Pavia, examined Cappi’s contributions to democratic and cultural progress in Italy, including his role in shaping the Italian Constitution and advocating for religious freedom. A forthcoming volume will integrate historical and legal analyses to provide a comprehensive view of Cappi’s legacy, spanning his antifascist stance, engagement in post-war politics, and influence on Italy’s institutional development.
