Abstract:
The following discourse seeks to engage with the theoretical framework espoused by Michael
Heinrich in his book, with a particular focus on the issue of domestic work and the oppression
of women under capitalism. The discussion herein questions the feminist theoretical framework
with which Heinrich chooses to engage, and his responses to feminist criticisms regarding the
determination of the value of labour power and the defining characteristics of domestic and care
work in capitalist systems
