The series published by Nomos and edited by Anna Chiara Cimoli and Domenico Sergi as part of the "PersonePer" project is intended as both a practical and a theoretical tool for those working to transform cultural institutions, making them more equitable, just, and representative of the diversity of their audiences.

Institutions are not islands; they emerge and evolve within specific historical and political contexts. Today more than ever, museums, libraries, archives, and archaeological parks are called upon to be spaces that are permeable to the debates shaping the public, media, and political spheres.

Accessibility is not a secondary technical matter, but a fundamental political issue: it concerns the right to participate fully in cultural life, to be represented, and to exist within the public sphere.
