Oltre i destini: attraversamenti del femminile e del maschile

Sex and gender are very different concepts. The one is determined by biology, the other is socially constructed. Assuming such diversity as the starting point of their work, the authors propose a path witch leads to stress how socially roles attributed to women and men are culturally pre-determined and represent the cages that perpetuate male domination and female subordination. This situation produces rigid and stereotyped images of women and men. This book offers also glances of human history, language, school, maternity, violence, male change and the challenge to gender roles represented by rainbow families. The aim is to contribute writing another story beyond the destinies.
