Roberto Leporini received an MSc degree cum laude in Computer Science in 1999 and a PhD in Computer Science in 2004 both from the University of Milan. He was an assistant professor at the University of Bergamo since 2005 and he is currently an associate professor. His main research interests are quantum computing, quantum optics, quantum computational structures and logics. He has published over 30 papers in international journals. He has taught courses in Information Technology, Networks and Network Issues, IT Security at the university of Bergamo. He has held several seminars in quantum computation. He was representative of researchers in the Faculty and in the Academic Senate and he was a member of the Presidential Council of the Faculty. He was President of the International Quantum Structures Association (he was a member of the Nominating Committee and of the Council and vice-President). He is member of the CMS team of the National Institute for Nuclear Physics since 2005. He holds a patent on the construction of quantum circuits. He has participated in several national projects.
