Davide Caselli is Associate Professor of Environmental Sociology (GSPS-08/B). He teaches "Urban Cultures" and "Environmental Sociology" in the Bachelor's Degree Program in Communication Sciences and "Local Welfare and Cultural Institutions" and the Master's Degree Program in Valorization of Tangible and Intangible Cultural Heritage at the Department of Humanities, Philosophy, and Communication. Before pursuing social research, he worked for ten years as a social worker in several Non Profit organizations in Milan. This experience informed many of the questions that later shaped his academic career. His primary research interests include social policies, social work, the role of experts and expertise in contemporary societies and financialization. On these topics, he has published the book "Esperti. Come studiarli e perchè" (Il Mulino, 2020) and several articles in national and international scientific journals. He is a member of the Collective for Foundational Economy and a founding member of the Public Welfare Laboratory (https://linktr.ee/lab.welfarepubblico).
