Amine Hocine holds a Ph.D. in Applied Economics and Management from the International University of Rabat (Morocco) in cotutelle with the University of Bergamo (Italy), where his dissertation, “Uncertain Multi-Criteria Decision-Making: Theoretical and Practical Applications,” examined decision-making under uncertainty from philosophical, theoretical, and practical perspectives. His research interests span both theoretical and applied aspects. On the theoretical side, he focuses on multi-criteria decision analysis, multi-objective optimization, uncertainty modeling, and XOR theory. Practically, he is passionate about translating theoretical insights into real-world solutions, particularly in areas such as renewable energy, sustainability, and risk assessment. His work has been published in leading academic journals, including Omega, the European Journal of Operational Research, Annals of Operations Research, Computers & Industrial Engineering, and Expert Systems with Applications, among others.
