2012-2022: Assistant Professor in Sociology of cultural and communicative processes, University of Bergamo.
Ph. D. in “Sociology: Communicative and Intercultural Processes in the Public Sphere” (2007), Department of Sociology, University of Padua, Italy. Dissertation title: “Rumanian immigrants in Bologna. Sense of labour and working practices” (supervisor: prof. P.P. Giglioli).
2012-2019 and 2024-Today: Co-editor in chief of the journal Etnografia e ricerca qualitativa / Ethnography and Qualitative Research, published by Il Mulino (Bologna, Italy); 2020-2023: Member of the Editorial Board of the same journal.
2017-Today: Member of the Editorial committee of the French journal Anthropology of food.
2013-Today, member of the PhD school of Sociology and Methodology of Social Research (SOMET), Universities of Milan and Turin.

- October 2023 - : Coordinator of the University of Bergamo Research Unit, in the Prin (2022) Project “Just transition in the factory. Workers' mobilizations and participatory innovation in emergent Italian experiences” (PI: L. Pellizzoni, Scuola Normale Superiore, Firenze)
- 2018-2020: supervisor in the research project “The ‘supermarket revolution’ and agricultural production in Italy: private standard and new representations of food”, funded by the University of Bergamo (research fellow M. Lo Cascio).
- 2016-2017: member of the research project “New Plantations: Migrant Mobility, ‘Illegality’ and Racialisation in European Agricultural Labour”, coordinated by T. Raeymaekers (University of Zurich), funded by the Swiss Network for International Studies.
