Born in 1962, graduated in Humanities from the University of Milan in 1988 with a thesis in Contemporary History on ""Mondo Operaio," the PSI and international politics (1948-1957)," won the 1988-89 "Mondo Operaio" prize for the best thesis on topics in the history of the labor and socialist movement and the 2020 "Matteotti Prize" from the Presidency of the Council of Ministers. Winner of an M.A.E. study award in the year 1989-90 for research related to "The French Left and the PSI: l'"Humanité" (1948-1949)." Fellow at the Nenni Foundation in Rome in the year 1991-2 and at the Institute for International Policy Studies (ISPI) from 1992 to 1995. From 1998 to 2003 he was scientific assistant at the Institute of Mediterranean Studies, directed by Vittorio Dan Segre, at the University of Italian Switzerland in Lugano, organizing research and cultural activities. Since August 2015 he has been Associate Professor of Contemporary History at the Department of Foreign Languages, Literatures and Cultures, University of Bergamo. Since July 2023 he has been full professor in the same department. Deputy editor of the Rivista storica del socialismo, he is a member of the scientific committee of the Ferruccio Parri National Institute. 13 gennaio 2026
