I am currently full professor of Mathematical Analysis at the Department of Management, Information and Production Engineering of the University of Bergamo, where I have worked (first as a University Researcher and later as Associate Professor) since 2002. Previously I obtained a grant research at the University of Milan-Bicocca (2001) and a European scholarship at the Universidad Autonoma of Madrid (2000). I completed my doctoral studies with Prof. G. Weiss at Washington University in St. Louis (USA) (1996-1999), after having followed an introductory course in mathematical research thanks to an INdAM grant (Rome, 1996 ). I graduated with honors in Mathematics with a thesis directed by Prof. L. De Michele at the University of Milan (1990-1995). My scientific interests are mainly aimed at classical Fourier analysis on Euclidean spaces and on spaces with no group structure, such as hypergroups, with particular attention to the role played by special functions, as well as to the theory of discrepancy and numerical approximation on maniufolds. I have participated, also upon invitation, in several International Conferences both in Italy and abroad and have been hosted by the Mathematics departments of the Universities Autonoma of Madrid, and of Wroclaw and Edinburgh. I am the author of more than forty publications and preprints.
