Curriculum Vitae

Graduated in Mechanical Engineering in 1987 from the Politecnico di Milano. In 1992, he obtained a PhD in Applied Mechanics. In the same year, he joined the Politecnico di Milano as a researcher.
In 2001, he took up a position as an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Bergamo. He is currently a member of the Department of Engineering and Applied Sciences at the University of Bergamo.
In the 2001/2002 academic year, he served as a substitute lecturer for the Applied Mechanics course for the Mechanical Engineering degree program (Old System). Since the 2001/2002 academic year, he has been teaching Theoretical and Applied Mechanics for the Management Engineering degree program.
He currently teaches Modeling and Simulation of Mechanical Systems for the Master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering and in Mechatronics and Smart Technologies Engineering. He also teaches the Multibody Systems Dynamics course for the PhD program in Sustainable Technologies for Industrial and Construction Engineering.
Previously, he taught Machine Dynamics for the Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, as well as Multi-Body Systems and Vehicles for the Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
His research focuses on biomechanics, utilizing both Finite Element (FEA) and Multibody modeling techniques, as well as experimental methods involving mechanical testing on materials and components. He is also interested in compliant mechanisms, vehicle dynamics, and mechatronic systems.
