Academic Position Domenico Piatti (Ph.D.) is an Associate Professor in the Department of Management at the University of Bergamo. Education He holds a Ph.D. in Financial Markets and Intermediaries and a degree in Business Administration, both from the University of Bergamo. Research His research focuses primarily on: a) analysis of credit and interest rate risks in banks; b) the role, structure and performance of Mutual Banks (CCBs); c) determinants of Non-Performing Loans (NPLs); d) monitoring and efficiency in the credit process; e) efficiency of credit guarantee consortia (Confidi); f) the role of cash flows in corporate rating processes; g) cost asymmetry in banks. His research has been published in both national and international journals, including: Bancaria, Rivista Bancaria, Banche Imprese e Società, European Scientific Journal, Academy of Accounting and Financial Studies Journal, Journal of Financial Management Markets and Institutions, Managerial Finance, and The Journal of Risk Finance. Professional Experience From 2003 to 2018, he served as Chair of the Board of Auditors for Banca di Credito Cooperativo Bergamasca e Orobica.
