Overview

Primo Semestre (22/09/2025 - 19/12/2025)

Syllabus

Course Objectives

The course in DISEGNO aims to introduce students to visual perception and communication, educate them in image interpretation, stimulate the use of graphic techniques as a means of expression, emotional communication, and interpretation of the world. Drawing is an activity closely tied to the individual, who uses shapes and colors to express the inner world hidden within and to process experiences and interactions with others. The module aims to help students understand that it is possible to express their inner world both through the manual skill of freehand drawing and through the knowledge and use of tools for representation (both traditional and digital). The course also aims to experiment with how image-related technologies - both graphic and animated - can serve as languages to communicate and explore the world (both inner and outer) rather than being the ultimate objects of knowledge.

Course Prerequisites

No specific prerequisites are required.

Teaching Methods

The course adopts a workshop-based approach. Each session begins with a theoretical or historical introduction, followed by a practical, hands-on component: an open space for experimenting with techniques, sharing reflections, and discussing approaches related specifically to art and drawing, while also maintaining an interdisciplinary perspective.

Assessment Methods

Students will be required to produce a project.

Instructions will be posted on the course Moodle page.

The aim of the project is to experiment with the methods, techniques, and approaches presented in the course, within the framework of a potential educational idea.
