The course aims to strengthen the didactic and planning competences of future teachers by developing the ability to:
No mandatory prerequisites are required. However, prior knowledge of general didactics (Didactics 1 and Didactics 2), competency-based curriculum design, and the use of the National Curriculum Guidelines is strongly recommended.
The course is structured around lectures, guided exercises, small-group workshop activities, and the viewing and discussion of video materials and planning documents. The Moodle platform will be used for sharing materials and course communications.
The final assessment consists of:
A written exam with 5 open-ended questions requiring structured and reasoned answers, based on the course content (lectures and exercises) and the texts listed in the bibliography. The questions aim to assess understanding of key concepts, critical analysis skills, and the ability to apply didactic models.
Assessment criteria:
Normative and pedagogical foundations of instructional planning
(DPR 275/1999, school autonomy, and the Three-Year Educational Offer Plan – PTOF)
Design and planning: differences, connections, and related tools
Instructional planning models:
The Learning Unit (UdA) as a central tool in the autonomous school system
Literacy instruction: theoretical foundations, methods, insights from neuroscience, and didactic challenges
Practical activities: goal analysis, verb expansion, and Learning Unit design
Students with an Individualized Education Plan (PEI) or Personalized Learning Plan (PDP) may request to take the exam in oral form, if explicitly stated in their official learning accommodations. However, all students are strongly encouraged to take the exam in the written format as outlined in the syllabus. Any alternative arrangements must be agreed upon in advance with the course instructor.
Please note that, in the case of using concept maps (permitted only for students with approved accommodations), these must be submitted to the instructor at least one week before the exam for approval.
