Through the reading, analysis, and discussion of accounting research literature, the course aims to provide students with fundamental knowledge, skills, and methods in researching financial accounting, management accounting, auditing, and the societal role of accounting.

- Attending students will be assessed on the basis of a group assignment (50% of the final grade) and a written exam made up of open-ended and closed-ended questions (50% of the final grade). The grade of the group assignment is valid for only one exam session (June, July or September), at the choice of the student. It is uploaded on the e-learning page of the course.
- Non-attending students will be assessed on the basis of a written exam made up of open-ended and closed-ended questions.
Open-ended questions are evaluated according to the following criteria:
a) relevance of the answer to the question;
b) thoroughness of the answer;
c) ability to synthesize;
d) appropriacy of language.
Exam results will be uploaded on "sportello internet" and the student will be notified when the grade is available.

- Qualitative and quantitative research strategy and research design
- Writing a scientific paper
