Course Objectives

At the end of the course, students will have acquired the theoretical foundations of developmental and educational psychology as applied to early childhood, with particular attention to socio-emotional and affective development. Specifically, they will be able to understand which factors can promote children’s psychological development.

This theoretical knowledge will enable students to identify the most effective educational practices to support young children’s well-being during early childhood.

Course Prerequisites

Teaching Methods

The course will be delivered mainly through lectures. However, interactive activities and exercises will also be planned to engage students in deeper reflections, with the aim to acquire theoretical knowledge more effectively and apply it to concrete situations.

The interactive and practical approach will also be adopted during the mandatory laboratory associated with the course, which will last 9 hours.

The exam consists of a written test lasting 45 minutes, which includes 30 multiple-choice questions. The questions assess students’ general knowledge of the course content.
