Syllabus

Course Objectives

Understanding the algorithms underlying Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Large Language Models.

Analyzing the most recent applications of AI and Big Data in the tourism sector.

Using Natural Language Processing (NLP) and agent-based AI to automate all types of repetitive digital tasks.

Developing a functional prototype of a Generative AI-based app that creates customizable tourist itineraries through a graphical interface and displays them on an interactive map.

None


Teaching Methods

The primary learning method will be group work, through which students will develop the two project works of the course. Each group will consist of 5 students.


Assessment Methods

The final exam consists of a written test with 20 multiple-choice questions, each with three possible answers. To be admitted to the exam, students must have completed the two course project works: the development of an app for creating customizable tourist itineraries and the automatic creation and publication of educational and tourist videos on TikTok in various languages.


Contents

The course will focus on Artificial Intelligence and Data Science for Tourism, Generative Artificial Intelligence, Large Language Models, and Deep Neural Networks.

It will also address topics aligned with recent trends in tourism studies, such as Big Data for Tourism, Intelligent Agents, and Computer Use.

The course will conclude with the study of AI tools for video creation, AI tools for voice and audio generation, and other applications of AI in the tourism sector.
