The main objective is to make students aware of the relevance of urban spaces and outdoor education for the development of learning processes, life and soft skills. In particular, attention will be given to groups of people who are vulnerable in terms of autonomy and mobility: children, the elderly, disabled.
Even if not mandatory, to have followed the course of Theories, methods, and didactics of physical activity longlife.
In the first part the course will be theoretical, presenting the main pedagogical approaches and reflections on the subjects studied.
In the second part, experiments on urban space observation will be proposed.
In the third, a laboratory will be developed through group work aimed at designing interventions.
he advancement will be verified through oral tests and group presentations. The assessment will be based on the integration between the two modes. Those attending the classes could participate to partial exams.
The course explores the connections between urban space, education and community, proposing a critical reflection on educational practices that develop outside of traditional school environments. The concept of urban pedagogy promotes and analyzes educational practices that value the city as a learning, inclusive and participatory context. At the same time, outdoor education is deepened as an educational approach that promotes experiential learning in urban and natural environments by stimulating autonomy, cooperation and psycho-physical well-being. The course includes theoretical activities and practical workshops, with particular attention to the design of territorial educational interventions.
For the student workers not attending the course, a Distance Learning (FAD) system will be activated. The procedure to take part in the FAD system will be presented in the first lesson of the course or upon contact with the teacher. For Erasmus students it is possible to agree the exam program upon a meeting with the teacher.
