Giovanna Galizzi is Associate Professor of Accounting at University of Bergamo.
She is responsible for the teaching orientation for students in the Bachelor's Degree in 'Business Administration' of the Department of Management of University of Bergamo.
Since 2019 she leads the "gender budget process" of the University of Bergamo.
She is a member of the Guarantee Committee for Equal Opportunities, Employee Wellbeing and Non-Discrimination at Work – CUG of the University of Bergamo for the mandate 2020/23.

Her research interests concern gender responsive budget, gender accounting in higher education institutions, as well as in local governments and health care insitutes. She is one of the guest editors of the special theme published by Public Money & Management “Experiences and challenges with gender budgeting and accounting. Moving towards gender-responsive forms of accountability?”.
