Gabriele Cocco is Associate Professor of Germanic Philology and the Rector's Delegate for Relations with Students.
Within the medieval Germanic traditions, his main interests are gnomic poetry and Christian literature of Early Medieval England, with a particular focus on the influence of Benedictine monasticism, liturgy and patristic thought.
He has also worked on courtly poetry in Middle High German, particularly on Wolfram von Eschenbach’s Tagelieder.
