CATTANEO Cristiana

Cristiana Cattaneo is pro-rector with responsibility for university planning and budgeting and associate professor at the Department of Management at the University of Bergamo.

Bachelor’s degree in Economics and business, University of Bergamo


Research:
Her research is mainly developed in the area of the study of managerial and strategic control systems and also with special reference to particular contexts such as family firms and health care contexts and concerning key junctures such as business crisis. Research also covers gender topics having to deal with accountability and strategic dimensions.

She has published articles in several high impact national and international scientific journals such as Accounting, Auditing and Accountability Journal (AAAJ), Journal of Public Budgeting, Accounting and financial management, Public money and management, Management control, Public Company, Mecosan, Human Systems management.

Professional Activities:
She is on the editorial board of “Management control” and serves as a reviewer of Accounting, Auditing and Accountability journal AAAJ, Public Money & Management, Management Control, Azienda pubblica, Small business-Piccola impresa.

She carries out an intense training activity within “SdM – Scuola di Alta Formazione” at the University of Bergamo, of which she is director until December 2024, both as a lecturer and as program coordinator of different paths, also tailored for institutions and companies. She has developed several consulting tracks about the design and implementation of control systems in different contexts and sustainability reporting. She is a member of the board of directors of a publicly listed company.
