Chiara Oppi, Ph.D, is assistant professor in management accounting at the Department of Management at the University of Bergamo (Italy)

Credentials
Graduated in Economics, Markets, and Management from the University of Ferrara, she obtained a PhD in Management, curriculum in: Innovation, Sustainability, and Healthcare at Sant'Anna School of Advances Studies in Pisa. She was a research assistant at Sant'Anna School of Advances Studies in Pisa, and research fellow at the University of Ferrara and the University of Bergamo, where she has been assitant professor since 2022.

Research
Her main research areas involve management accounting with a focus on environmental and social sustainability issues, both in the business sector and in the public sector. Furthermore, she conducts research activities on managerial control and accounting information systems, with a particular focus on the healthcare sector. Her research appeared in international journals such as Financial Accountability & Management, Meditari Accountancy Research, Journal Of Public Budgeting, Accounting and Financial Management, Journal of Management and Governance.

Professional Activity
She also has extensive experience in organizing managerial training courses for healthcare professionals, conducted primarily at the University of Bergamo.
