Curriculum Vitae
Annamaria Bianchi is Associate Professor of Economic Statistics at the Department of Economics (DSE) of the University of Bergamo (Italy). She obtained her double PhD in Mathematical Statistics in 2007 at the University of Milan and University Paris VI. Her main research interests are in the area of web surveys, online panels, representativity, composite indicators, non-probabilistic methods for data collection and inference, and analysis of social media data. Her scientific papers are published in the Journal of Official Statistics, Survey Methodology, Journal of Econometrics, Social Indicators Research, and other academic journals.
In 2022 she received the Italian scientific qualifications (ASN) as Full Professor in Economic Statistics (13/D2, SECS-S/03).
In 2023 her research has been supported as responsible for the University of Bergamo for the project PRIN (Progetti di Rilevante Interesse Nazionale) of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) “MYPEOPLE: Measuring inequalitY, PovErty and living cOnditions for Planning Local stratEgies” (project code P2022J7TJ3).
She is an elected member of the International Statistical Institute (ISI), research associate of the Institute for Social and Economic Research (ISER, University of Essex), research fellow at Carleton University (Ottawa, Canada), and a member of the International Association of Survey Statisticians (IASS) where she is currently serving as member of the Executive Committee for the period 2023-2025.
She is member of the Board of the European Master in Official Statistics (EMOS) for the period 2024-2026.
She is Associate Editor of the journals Statistical Methods & Applications (SMA).
She is currently reference professor of the European Master in Official Statistics (EMOS) programme at the University of Bergamo.
