Assessment for Attending Students
Attending students will be assessed based on the following components: Individual Class Participation: Since this course is structured as a seminar, active participation is crucial for fostering an effective learning environment; Team Assignments: Each team will complete a series of in-class and out-of-class activities, such as discussions and exercises, that address topics relevant to the course content; Individual Final Exam: This exam covers the Diversity, Equity/Equality, and Inclusion (DEI) section. Upon completion of all activities, attending students can earn a maximum of 100 points. The maximum score is distributed as follows: 50 points for the Diversity, Equity/Equality, and Inclusion (DEI) section; 25 points for the Creativity and Creativity Management section; 25 points for the Responsible Leadership section.
The DEI section's score is determined by team assignments (up to 35 points) and the final exam (up to 15 points). Scores for the Creativity and Creativity Management and Responsible Leadership sections are based on individual class participation (up to 5 points) and team assignments (up to 20 points). This 100-point score will be converted into a grade on the Italian 30-point scale. A minimum of 60 points is required to pass. Students also need to achieve: At least 20 out of 35 points in the DEI team assignment part; 9 out of 15 points in the DEI final exam; 15 out of 25 points in each of the other two sections (Creativity and Responsible Leadership). Students wishing to be considered "attending students" must be present at the first lesson. After this initial lesson, students will be divided into groups. Once you opt to be an attending student, regular attendance becomes mandatory; unexcused absences will affect both your final grade and your status as an attending student. Attending students are expected to attend a minimum of 80% of all course sessions, from beginning to end, across all three sections. The final exam for attending students will only take place during the January 2026 exam session. It's also possible to recover a maximum of 5 points for the DEI section during this session. Students may be asked to purchase some teaching cases individually or in teams.
Assessment for Non-Attending Students
Non-attending students will be evaluated via a final written exam. This exam will be held at the end of the course during the regular exam sessions (January/February, June, July, and September). It will last 50/60 minutes and consist of three open questions. These questions are designed to assess whether students can connect fundamental concepts and apply them to specific practical contexts. Each open question is worth a maximum of 11 points.
The exam's primary purpose is to evaluate students' intellectual maturity and comprehensive understanding of the subject matter. Therefore, it goes beyond merely verifying information presented in lectures and textbooks/papers. Answers to the open questions will be evaluated based on: Relevance to the question; Comprehensiveness in addressing the question; Inclusion of appropriate connections; Conciseness (avoiding redundancy or repetition); Command of language; Clarity of presentation. The final grade will be the sum of the scores obtained from the three open questions. To pass the exam, each of the three questions must receive a minimum score of 6.
This syllabus is valid for all students taking the exam in the academic year 2025-2026, specifically in January 2026, February 2026, June 2026, July 2026, and September 2026.
