The knowledge of the syllabus' contents, the appropriate use of a specific terminology and the ability to autonomously apply the learnt concepts will equally define the final evaluation.

Contenuti

TITLE OF THE MODULE - ON THE ROAD: WANDERING IN/THROUGH IMAGES

This module explores the history of cinema through the motif of travel and wandering. From the mobile eye of early cinema to the nomads, migrants, and drifters of contemporary film, the figure of the traveler offers a unique perspective on the evolution of cinematic forms and styles. Moving across different periods, genres, and national traditions, the course examines how films have represented mobility, displacement, exploration, and escape. At the same time, it investigates cinema itself as a medium of movement, shaped by changing ways of experiencing space, time, and modernity.
