Curriculum Vitae
Renato Pelosato obtained a degree in Chemistry with full marks from the University of Pavia in 1999 and a Ph.D. in Materials Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Milan in 2006, with a thesis entitled “Microstructural and electrical characterization of advanced ceramic materials for intermediate temperature solid oxide fuel cells.” He worked at the University of Brescia (2000–2004), the University of Bergamo (2005–2008), and the Polytechnic University of Milan (2009–2017). In the early years of his career, he focused on the chemistry and microstructure of cement pastes and trained in X-Ray Diffraction techniques. Since 2002, he has also studied the structural, microstructural, and electrical properties of functional ceramic oxides for energy applications. He was a visiting researcher at the French CNRS (Grenoble) in 2001 and at the Department of Chemistry of the University of Oslo (Norway) in 2005. From 2018 to 2024, he was a fixed-term researcher at the University of Bergamo, where he expanded his research topics to include visible-light photocatalysis and photo-sensitive materials. Since 2025, he has been Associate Professor at the same university.
He has published more than 60 articles in peer-reviewed journals indexed in Scopus.
