Curriculum Vitae

Patrizia Scandurra is Associate Professor at the Dept. of Management, Information and Production Engineering of the University of Bergamo (Italy), National Scientific qualified as full professor for 01/B1 - Informatics (from 31/01/2022 to 31/01/2033). Previously, she was Assistant Professor at the University of Bergamo (2009-2017) and research fellow at the University of Milan (2006- 2008). She obtained a degree (2002) and a PhD in Computer Science (2006) at the University of Catania. Her research interests are in software engineering, and specifically in software architectures and formal methods for software modeling, validation, and verification. Her reseach focus is the design of control software architectures and runtime model-based analysis of self-adaptive, autonomous and uncertain software-intensive systems, including service-based applications, IoT-Edge-Cloud applications, embedded systems, and systems-on-chip. She has published more than 100 papers in international refereed journals, conferences and books. She has been member of the program committees and organizing committees of international conferences in the area of software engineering and formal methods, including ICSE, ASE, ISSRE, ICSA, ECSA, SEAMS@ICSE, ABZ, conference track SA-TTA@SAC, and FAACS@ECSA. She participated to several national and European research projects on the topics: model-driven development for embedded and robotic systems, adaptive software architectures for pervasive systems, big data-driven software architectures for smart city, IoT-based and Smart Environments, and Digital twins for smart (medical) systems. She is member of the community around the formal method Abstract State Machines (ASM) & ASMETA (Asm METAmodeling), and member of the FOSE (Formal Methods & Software Engineering) group at the University of Bergamo. She has collaborated with R&I (research and innovation) groups of industries/organizations like STMicroelectronics, Atego, Bialetti, and ENEA.
