BELLERI Andrea

Andrea Belleri is an Associate Professor in Structural Engineering and currently serves as Chair of the Degree Program in Building Engineering at the University of Bergamo.
He deals with innovative seismic solutions for new and existing buildings. In particular, it addresses issues relating to the development of innovative prefabricated earthquake-resistant structural systems, the evaluation of the implications on the design of such systems, the study of design and vulnerability assessment methodologies based on performance approaches such as the displacement-based control, the study of behavior of prefabricated and steel structures subject to earthquakes, the structural requailification of existing buildings with integrated energy-structural approaches, the application of dynamic identification techniques on buildings and structural systems for the purpose of evaluating their health status (Structural Health Monitoring - SHM). Civil engineer, he is associate professor of Structures at the University of Bergamo; he collaborates with international academics. In the field of seismic engineering he has also conducted vulnerability assessment of motorway viaducts, prefabricated and industrial buildings, buildings of historical interest and port structures. Finally he deals with dynamic identification and vibration tests of various structural typologies. He is a co-founding member of two academic spin-offs, Di.Mo.Re. Srl (since 2012) and Erreditre energia Srl (since 2022), companies of researchers who translate academic research into projects with high social impact, promoting scientific innovation in the construction sector.
