Curriculum Vitae

Academic Position
Francesca Magno, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Management in the Department of Management at the University of Bergamo.
Credentials
PhD in Marketing for Business Strategies from the University of Bergamo.
Research
Her scientific research focuses mainly on new technologies and digital platforms from the perspectives of businesses and consumers and business internationalization processes and strategies.
Her research appeared in international Journals such as the Journal of Business Research, the Journal of Business & Industrial Marketing, the International Journal of Information Management, and The TQM Journal.
She is member of the Editorial Board of Management Decision and a blind reviewer for several international journals, including the International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management, the International Journal of Information Management, Internet Research, the Journal of Business & Industrial Marketing, and the Journal of Business Research.
She received recognition for the quality of her research such as: Emerald Award 2023 Literati – Oustanding Paper - Cassia, F., & Magno, F. (2022). Cross-border e-commerce as a foreign market entry mode among SMEs: the relationship between export capabilities and performance. Review of International Business and Strategy, 32(2), 267-283; Best Paper Award - Highly Commended Award sponsored by the Journal of Service Management at IRSSM 2018, 9th International Research Symposium in Service Management, per il paper: Cassia, F. Magno, F. “The effects of social media usage on solution quality and performance in professional service firms”
She manages, as Scientific Coordinator, the Research Unit of the University of Bergamo for the project submitted to the PRIN 2020 call, which was awarded funding.
Professional Activities
Since 2024: Co-Director of the First-Level Master’s Program in International Marketing Management & Digital Context, SdM – University of Bergamo.
