Higher education in Germanic and Romanic Studies with degree (M.A.) and PhD at the University of Bonn.
Since 2016 Full Professor of German Language (L-LIN/14) at University of Bergamo, Department of Foreign Languages, Literatures and Cultures. Currently member of the Board of the School of Doctoral Studies and Rector's delegate for international strategic partnerships.
Teaching on topics related to History of German language, German Language / Linguistics and Translation at the Universities of Firenze, Milano (Università Cattolica), Modena/Reggio Emilia. Erasmus staff mobility at various Universities i; Referee of Dissertations for PhD Courses in German Language and Linguistics (University of Erfurt, Forlì, Heidelberg, Trento, Verona).
Previous activities and positions at institutional level: Vice-Chancellor for International Relations, member of the Board of Directors and Integrated Academic Senate, Head of Guarantee Committee (CUG) and of International Relations for the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literatures, President of the Master Degree Course Modern Languages for Communication and International Cooperation (LM 38).
Main research interests and activities are related to German Language and Linguistics:
Varieties of contemporary German, LSP with special attention on technical and normative texts, legal and academic discourse, also in a comparative perspective (German-Italian); semantics, pragmatics and genre conventions in oral and written discourse. More recently, she has been working on the linguistic analysis of literary translation and on the practices of knowledge mediation.
Membership of national and international associations (AIG, GAL, AItLA, DGÜD, IVG, SGdS, Villa Vigoni.
Involvement in International Advisory Boards in Research Institutions and Scientific Series and periodicals. (Co-)Organization of international conferences and seminars. Partecipation at national and international research projects, at national and international level.
