Curriculum Vitae
Adriano D’Aloia is a full professor of cinema, photography, radio, television and digital media in the Department of Letters, Philosophy, Communication at the Università degli Studi di Bergamo, Italy. He is the coordinator of the MA program in Comunicazione, informazione, editoria and the Department delegate for communication. He is a member of the board of the PhD program in Transcultural Studies in Humanities at the Università di Bergamo. He has served as an associate professor at the Università degli Studi della Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli” in Caserta (2019-2021), as an assistant professor at the International Telematic University UniNettuno in Rome (2016-2018) and as a adjunct professor at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and IULM University in Milan (2010-2018). He teaches Visual culture and Film language at the University of Bergamo. His research interests include film theories, film and media aesthetics, phenomenology of media experience, Neurofilmology, Gestalt filmology, virtual reality and immersive media, post-photography, fashion media, media ecology, and enactive media. He has been visiting professor at the University of Kent, the University of Pennsylvania, and the University of Groningen. He is the author and co-curator of several books and journal special issues. He contributes to the life of numerous academic journals as a member of the editorial board of Cinéma & Cie. Film and Media Journal", "Elephant & Castle", "Comunicazioni Sociali. Journal of Media, Performing Arts and Cultural Studies", and "Fata Morgana Web". As a journalist, he is the director of communication at Consulta Universitaria del Cinema, the Italian society of film and media scholars.
