MARAFIOTI Rosa Maria

Rosa Maria Marafioti (Taurianova, 1979) is an associate professor of “History of Philosophy” in the Department of Letters, Philosophy and Communication at the University of Bergamo. She obtained a Ph.D. in “Philosophical Methodology” in 2007 and a permanent job as High-School Teacher of History and Philosophy in 2013. She received the National Scientific Habilitation as associate professor on “History of Philosophy” in 2014 (ASN DD n. 222/2012; DD n. 1531/2016), of both “Theoretical Philosophy” (ASN DD n. 1532/2016) and “Aesthetics and Philosophy of Language” (ASN DD n. 2175/2018) in 2020, and obtained the National Scientific Habilitation as full professor of History of Philosophy (ASN D.D. 1796/2023) in 2025. She has cooperated with the Philosophy Department of the University of Messina and was visiting Professor at the Papal Faculty of Theology of Southern Italy (seat of Reggio Calabria). She has studied and worked in Messina, Tübingen, Freiburg, Marbach, Fribourg, and Budapest. She is an associate editor of the Heidegger Studies and of La Chiesa nel Tempo. She belongs to the Italian Society of Philosophy and to the Martin Heidegger Society. She has written four monographs (“La questione dell’arte in Heidegger (2008), “Il ritorno a Kant di Heidegger. La questione dell’essere e dell’uomo” (2011), “Gli ‘Schwarze Hefte’ di Heidegger. Un ‘passaggio’ del pensiero dell'essere” (2016), “Heideggers und Gadamers Wiederentdeckung der phronesis” (2022), “Heidegger und die Gottesfrage” (2024), “Heideggers ‘Schwarze Hefte’. Das Seynsdenken und unsere Geschichte” (2024), edited the translation M. Heidegger, “Oltre l’estetica. Scritti sull’arte” (2010), and published many articles in National and International scientific journals. Her main fields of research are Phenomenology, Hermeneutics, Aesthetics, German Idealism.
