Full Professor of SSD ING-IND15 - Design and Methods of Industrial Engineering (Sector 09/A3 - Industrial Design, Mechanical Constructions and Metallurgy) at DIGIP, Department of Management, Information and Production Engineering, University of Bergamo.
He is a member of the DIGIP Research Commission.
He conducts research in the field of ICT methods and tools for systematic innovation (TRIZ), methods and tools for document search, Intellectual Property Management, methods supporting Ecodesign.
He is the author of over 100 publications in journals, books and international conference proceedings.
He is the inventor of more than 20 patents, almost all of them international, resulting from his research activities and consultancy services.
He was a founding partner and CEO (from 2012 to April 2016) of the academic spin-off BiGFLO srl.
He is a founding partner and outgoing CEO (from December 2020) of the academic spin off TRIX srl, which has now become a business unit of Warrant Hub spa of the Tinexta spa group, and which deals with the development of artificial intelligence-based text search engines and software products to support innovation.
