FERRAMOSCA Antonio

Antonio Ferramosca was born in Maglie (LE), Italy, in 1982. He is a Full Professor at the Department of Management, Information and Production Engineering of the University of Bergamo (Italy). He received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Computer Science Engineering, both from the University of Pavia (Italy), in 2004 and 2006 respectively, and his Ph.D. degree in Engineering, from the University of Seville (Spain) in 2011. He was a Postdoctoral Fellow and then a Research Associate at the Argentine National Scientific and Technical Research Council (CONICET), from 2012 to 2020. He was a visiting researcher at the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison (USA) in 2009, and a visiting professor at the Department of Automation and Systems Engineering at the University of Seville (Spain) in 2015. He serves as Associate Editor for the Optimal Control Applications and Methods journal, and the Journal of Control, Automation and Electrical Systems. He is the author and co-author of more than 100 publications. His research interests are in control theory for constrained linear and nonlinear systems, including Model Predictive Control, learning-based control, Artificial Pancreas, and control applications to industrial and biological systems.
