She has been a associete researcher at the IRCCS Istituto Auxologico Italiano in Milan (Ospedale S. Luca) where she has worked on European and national projects in the neuroscience and neurorehabilitation fields (FP5 and FP6 IST/FET area).
Her research interests, confirmed by her numerous international publications (SCOPUS ID 35509559400), are related to the relationship between neurocognitive changes in life span and interactions with everyday contexts (natural and virtual). In particular, she focuses on aging processes and quality of life, using situated and person-centered approaches to promote health and well-being in successful aging and not-neurotypical developmental pathways (e. g. support their autonomy in everyday life. In these fields she was also engaged as a principal advisor in the project “ViveDe-Vivere con la Demenza” – Living with Dementia (www.vivede.it), through which she disseminates scientific content on the different forms of dementia and psycho-education projects using experiential technologies (immersive 360° videos) to enable the caregivers of people with dementia to develop an empathetic attitude within the
healthcare setting.
