BURINI Federica

Federica Burini is full professor of Geography at the Department of Foreign Languages, Literatures and Cultures at the University of Bergamo, where she is scientific coordinator of the Imago Mundi Lab, member of the Center for Territorial Studies and scientific director of OrobieLab. She is a member of the PhD program "Landscape studies for global and local challenges".
Her main research interests are in participatory processes and collaborative mapping in rural and urban contexts in order to promote territorial regeneration from a sustainable perspective. In particular, her research has focused on rural areas in Sub-Saharan Africa and rural and urban areas in Europe. She also focuses on rural and mountain areas, for the enhancement of the landscape through participatory processes and responsible tourism.
